Much food for thought Peter and very useful in our attempts to read the election results. Interested to see how the nationalist parties do and as you point out how this plays out at Westminster. If as you suggest we will get NOC in many places it will be important to observe it's effects on decision making and any changes in priorities. May we live in interesting times!
I think what to watch out for with the Greens is whether they repeat their performance from the election. The wards where they campaign, I suspect they will win handsomely, as they did in the general. I suspect they will be left rueing what might have been if they'd been more ambitious.
All the polling points to them having lots of support that campaigns could unlock, but them not having the resources or bravery to try to unlock it.
One possible compensation for Reform doing well next week, is that it would give them more opportunity to disgrace themselves by a 2029 general election: by incompetence, infighting, having to raise Council tax by the maximum amount, and generally breaking all their promises...

I think the comment of our highly respected Lib Dem councillor is very pertinent.
Contemplating having to work alongside Reform councillors in the near future they observed:
Half of the Reform candidates are quite nice people, just naive and lacking in experience. The other half are obsessed bigots.

Imagine if we all end up shocked and Labour wins everything… I mean not likely
